Integrate Ideas

In our second paper, we had to include the works of Nair and Nair, Haas, Gee, and the IMRaD cheat sheet.  We had to incorporate their works in our writing both through reference and through quotes.  In my paper, I tried to make sure to include all four of their works equally both in influence and in quotation.  When I looked to Haas’ paper, it was easy to relate that back to a self connection because she was studying a college student who, at the beginning, was a first year college student just like myself.  When referencing Gee’s paper, it was very easy because we had already used a work by James Gee as reference before, and his paper was similar to the last.  I was bale to compare his opinion on discourse much easier because of the prior experience with him.  The IMRaD cheat sheet was a little bit harder to fit in to my paper, but the spot that I found it most easily fit into was when I was critiquing myself or others.  The paper that I had the hardest time fitting into my paper was the Nair and Nair article.  I think that the reason this was the most hard for me to put in my paper was because this is the paper that I had focused on the least.  My lack of good knowledge on where the great information and quotable material was may have been the reason that it was so hard for me to quote Nair and Nair.
